Spotify.  The music where and how you want it.

Through the Design Thinking methodology we developed this project betting on innovative uses of AI within Spotify's own platform.

Project briefing:

"Improve the Spotify Recommender with the inclusion of additional data and customisation features not seen so far that allow differentiation from the competition and therefore increase the number of subscribers and decrease the dropout rate".

PRESENTATION (Es)

Project developed this year in the ESIC Advanced Course on Aritificial Intelligence in which three AI-based proposals are developed to improve the user experience on the Spotify streaming music platform.  This is a challenging project as the degree of maturity of the use of Spotify AI is very high and it is a worldwide reference in the use of artificial intelligence to improve the user experience.

These are three proposals conceived to be feasible today and to be maximised within the 5G environment.

Through the methodology of Design Thinking we developed this project betting on innovative uses of AI within Spotify's own platform.

We wanted to bring more value to the user by using features that improve satisfaction and engament. In the service offered by Spotify, AI plays a differentiating role from its competitors, and user engagement is fundamental, since the more you use the service, the better recommendation you will receive and the more satisfying your experience will be.

1) The first proposal is a Streaming Radar, through a new feature Spotify makes a recommendation based on the library and tastes of other users who are close.

2) The second U-Animo proposal is the integration of the data from a smartwatch with the music recommendation offered by Spotify.

3) And the third, Dj Spoty, is a creator of rhythms by those who can be uploaded to the platform and shared with other users.
